Client Overview:
Skillsetter is the leading platform for helping people develop interpersonal skills through realistic practice and feedback. Their short video scenarios featuring authentic, human interactions are a core part of how learners build empathy, listening skills, and communication strategies.
They're looking for a Video & Learning Content Producer to help them create these learning scenarios. This is not a job for a film industry veteran or visual effects expert. Instead, it's a great fit for someone who is curious about human behavior, psychology, and education who enjoys planning, filming, and editing simple, authentic scenes.
You'll work with actors, educators, and our product team to capture moments of real emotional nuance: from a struggling parent asking for help, to a workplace conflict that requires de-escalation, to a child trying to be heard. Our goal isn't cinematic polishits psychological realism.
What You'll Do:
- Work with subject matter experts to turn real-world interpersonal challenges into short video scenarios for learners to watch and respond to
- Write and revise scripts that feel natural, emotionally grounded, and educational
- Cast and coordinate actors (including children and diverse talent) for filming sessions
- Direct shoots in our Vancouver studio and ensure scenes are captured clearly and simply
- Edit and organize video clips for use in our learning platformbasic cuts only, no flashy effects
- Stay on top of project timelines, production needs, and video library organization
What You Bring
Must-haves:
- Based in Greater Vancouver and available to attend shoots in person
- Strong interest in psychology, counseling, education, or interpersonal skill development
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to plan, direct, and manage a small video shoot with confidence
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays (e.g. winter break), based on actor availability. Youll have autonomy to schedule sessions in collaboration with talent.
Nice-to-haves:
- Some experience writing scripts or scenarios for learning, training, or roleplay
- Prior experience in video editing or content creation (professional or self-taught)
- Familiarity with therapeutic, healthcare, or workplace communication settings

- Full-time, permanent role (3-month probation period to start)
- Hybrid: work from home except during in-studio filming

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $55,000$75,000 depending on experience
