Our client is a digital services provider operating within the iGaming field. They are looking for a Senior SEO Specialist with expertise in iGaming markets across Canadian market. The ideal candidate will lead localized SEO strategies, optimize branded and non-branded traffic, and implement advanced technical SEO tactics to drive organic growth.
This role requires experience in gray-hat SEO strategies, mirror websites, and alternative domain techniques, with a strong understanding of Googles algorithms and ranking factors.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute SEO strategies for iGaming markets in Canada, focusing on casino, sports, and event driven content.
- Collaborate with local content creators and the country team to plan, optimize, and structure SEO-friendly content that aligns with brand objectives and seasonal trends.
- Optimize all on-page elements to ensure top performance, including meta titles and descriptions, internal linking, schema markup, content hierarchy, and targeted keyword integration.
- Drive the ranking and promotion of generic (non-branded) keywords to boost organic traffic and enhance visibility in relevant search results.
- Perform regular on-page audits, analyzing crawlability, duplicate content, cannibalization, and content freshness.
- Identify content gaps, perform keyword research, and map keywords to landing pages to maximize reach and user intent.
- Monitor and report on performance metrics (CTR, bounce rate, rankings, etc.) using tools like Google Search Console, GA4, and third-party SEO platforms.
- Stay ahead of Google algorithm changes and industry trends specific to iGaming and sports content.
- Collaborate with the Senior SEO Specialist to align with broader SEO goals, share insights, and support cross-market initiatives.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in on-page SEO, within the iGaming or sports betting industry.
- Experience with local SEO in Canada.
- Strong knowledge of SEO best practices, content optimization, and performance tracking.
- Experience working with custom created CMS platforms.
- Proficient with SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, GSC, GA4).
- Excellent understanding of search intent, content structure, and how to drive organic traffic via content-led strategies.
- Analytical mindset with a proactive attitude and attention to detail.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills ability to work with local and global teams.
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with French content SEO or multilingual content management.
- Understanding of compliance requirements in iGaming markets.
