- Operate and maintain 3 power boilers and 2 backpressure turbines to ensure continuous power generation
- Monitor processes, equipment, temperatures, pressures, and levels to ensure safe 24/7 plant operation
- Respond to emergencies or abnormal conditions following established procedures
- Conduct basic troubleshooting, electromechanical maintenance, and operational support with other trades
- Perform routine tasks including sampling, testing, equipment preparation for maintenance, and housekeeping
- Occasionally assume duties of the Chief Power Engineer and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Valid 1st Class Power Engineering Certificate (2nd Class considered if progressing toward 1st)
- Experience operating and maintaining systems in a 1st Class facility; strong steam, boiler, and turbine knowledge
- Strong mechanical aptitude; hands-on experience with DCS systems, generators, pumps, compressors, etc.
- Excellent troubleshooting abilities and understanding of plant safety procedures (e.g., LOTO, Confined Space)
- Solid communication skills, team player, and leadership potential; WHMIS, TDG, OH&S knowledge preferred
- Food industry experience is an asset; must be safety-conscious with a strong work ethic and technical capability
