Location: Vancouver, British Columbia
Salary: Competitive base salary, strong performance bonus, company vehicle and industry-leading benefits including RSP plan.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We're partnered with a leading self-performing infrastructure contractor looking to add a skilled Structural Bridge Superintendent to their growing team in Vancouver, BC. This is a career-defining opportunity to lead major civil works and bridge projects, contributing to some of the region's most critical transportation infrastructure.

As a Superintendent, you'll oversee construction from the ground up—critical lifts, girder erection, concrete abutments, and more—while mentoring crews and collaborating with senior project leadership. If you're a field-first leader with a trade background and a passion for complex builds, this is the role for you.

This contractor is known for its collaborative culture, hands-on leadership team, and strong pipeline of infrastructure work across rail, transit, and public infrastructure sectors.

THE ROLE: STRUCTURAL BRIDGE SUPERINTENDENT

In this role, you'll lead the execution of bridge and retaining wall projects valued from $20M–$75M, managing teams of 12–20 crew members while maintaining schedule, quality, and safety standards. This is a boots-on-the-ground leadership role for someone who's come up through the trades and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading field operations for complex structural projects, including abutments, falsework, girder erection, and concrete works
  • Managing and mentoring a team of 2–3 foremen and carpenters
  • Conducting construct-ability reviews and working with PMs on estimates, take-offs, and change orders
  • Ensuring full compliance with MOTI BC specs, project contracts, and safety procedures
  • Collaborating with Project Coordinators and Managers on schedules, costing, and overall project value
  • Supporting project delivery for a variety of structures, including highway bridges, transit, and port infrastructure

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • 15–20 years of bridge construction experience with at least 10 years as a Superintendent
  • Red Seal Carpenter or equivalent trade background
  • Experience leading crews on major civil infrastructure projects
  • Strong knowledge of formwork systems (PERI, falsework, structural steel, cast-in-place)
  • Collaborative leadership style focused on mentorship and team performance
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to contribute to project documentation and reporting
  • Bonus: experience with budget software and P3/public infrastructure work

WHY JOIN THIS TEAM?

  • Competitive Compensation: Competitive base salary, strong performance bonus, company vehicle and industry-leading benefits including RSP plan.
  • Career Progression: Work with a forward-thinking infrastructure team committed to growing internal talent
  • Project Pipeline: Contribute to long-term projects backed by public and private funding
  • Team Environment: Be part of a company that values collaboration, mentorship, and professionalism
