Overview:
A leading food manufacturing company is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic (Level 1) to support continuous production operations across packaging, processing, and facility systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in performing corrective and preventative maintenance, ensuring all equipment meets safety and GMP standards. Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot, install, repair, maintain, and improve a variety of processing and packaging equipment
Execute setup, assembly, disassembly, and relocation of bakery and packaging machinery
Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to perform maintenance tasks
Perform preventative maintenance using CMMS and contribute to reliability improvements
Conduct metal fabrication, welding, fitting, and machining to support repair and maintenance work
Complete and submit electronic shift reports and assist with production equipment setup
Maintain a clean, organized shop and ensure tools and equipment are in proper working condition
Support continuous improvement by offering solutions for efficiency and equipment reliability

Qualifications:
Required:
Minimum 5–7 years of experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance, including troubleshooting and PMs
Experience using tools such as drill press, grinders, saws, and other machine shop equipment
Strong communication skills and knowledge of safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license
Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager
Preferred:
Millwright License or equivalent hands-on experience
Experience in high-speed manufacturing (food industry preferred)
Familiarity with CMMS systems
Knowledge of working with automated systems and robotics (e.g., Schubert)
