The Land Analyst prepares, issues, tracks and inputs documents related to land acquisition projects.
Please note this is a hybrid position.
In addition, your role will be to:
- Oversee the preparation of all documents needed for the acquisition of real estate rights for the construction, reconstruction, enlargement, or maintenance of pipeline, transmission and/or distribution facilities including easements, deeds, leases, licenses, permits, damage agreements, right of entry agreements, option agreements, contracts, and other documents as required.
- Responsible for client execution and coordination of agreements. Including applicable real estate documentation such as landowner payments
- Initiates and tracks agreement milestones, contractual obligations, and deadlines
- Supports completion of land ownership and Rights, Title, and Interest research
- May assist with the design or implantation of necessary new or needed database functions and changes.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in land, land administration or a related field of study or relevant experience
- 3-5 years experience
- Ability to interpret survey/construction plans, maps and legal descriptions
- Experience with ownership review for private and crown lands with relation to leasing, title and/or contracts
- Experience working with drafting agreements
- Experience working with third party entities
- Experience with infrastructure (petroleum pipeline and transmission), renewable, and/or other right-of-way projects is considered an asset
- Experience working with a multi-disciplinary team of project professionals
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with an extremely keen attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and meet critical deadlines and timelines
- Proficient using software to track and organize several hundred agreements on a single project
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
