We are looking for an Junior Accountantto join our growing team in Ontario.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Analyze, verify and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
• Review ongoing project allocations, costings and margins to ensure validity
• Assist in budget preparation and rolling forecast process during the year.
• Analyze and communicate business unit financial and operational performance trends using appropriate metrics;
• Assist with daily accounting activities required to maintain the companys general ledger
  
• Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
• Assist in preparing documents and interpreting complicated financial information for managers and executives
• Assist in the completion of all required tax remittances
• Evaluate and enhance financial performance by assessing internal controls, conducting risk assessments, and establishing financial policies and procedures.
• Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation, both Canada and USA.
  
• Other duties as assigned

Experience & Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field
  
• Attained or working towards CPA/CMA designation
• 2+ experience as an accountant or in finance role
  
• Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), IFRS Reporting
  
• Excellent computer skills; Advanced MS Excel skills
  
• Proficient knowledge and hands on experiences with Epicor, and NetSuite is preferred
  
• Exceptionally detail-oriented, organized, and able to thrive under pressure while meeting tight deadlines;
  
• Possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  
• Excellent communication skills, and a collaborative approach to working with all levels internally, and external partners to drive results.
