JOB SUMMARY:

The Credit Manager is responsible for helping with risk mitigation and portfolio control of loans. Which allows us the ability to grow positively and maintain low losses.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Underwrite commercial and personal lines insurance policies in accordance with company guidelines.

  • Evaluate brokerages and carriers to assess underwriting eligibility and risk exposure.

  • Review and assess credit payment plan terms to ensure financial viability and compliance.

  • Analyze broker performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

  • Monitor carrier performance to support strategic alignment and service quality standards.

  • Participate in the development and evaluation of credit and collection strategies.

  • Conduct regular reviews and updates of internal policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and regulatory compliance.

  • Assess escalated service or arrears cases requiring exception handling and make informed recommendations.

  • Deliver credit-related training sessions to internal teams and partners to promote best practices and knowledge sharing.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Minimum of 3–5 years in credit management or a related financial role.

  • Demonstrates strong adaptability and eagerness to learn new concepts and systems.

  • Effectively handles and resolves complex or high-priority issues in a timely manner.

  • Confidently presents ideas, data, and recommendations to various stakeholders.

  • Proficient in evaluating financial data to support business decisions.

  • Skilled in developing and maintaining strong professional relationships internally and externally.

  • Maintains a constructive and enthusiastic outlook that fosters team loyalty, engagement, and productivity.

  • Makes well-informed, timely decisions; involves relevant stakeholders when appropriate; clearly articulates reasoning.

  • Consistently applies expertise and knowledge effectively to achieve quality results in daily work.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS:

Some College/Experience equivalent
