New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking a Cloud Systems Engineer II for a 12-month contract engagement. This role is ideal for a technically strong, automation-focused cloud engineer with deep hands-on experience in Azure, Terraform, Ansible, and DevOps pipelines. The consultant will play a key part in implementing automation across various cloud services, supporting infrastructure deployments, and participating in the organization's evolving cloud roadmap.

Responsibilities:

• Implement and support cloud infrastructure using automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, including compute, storage, gateways, networking, redundancy, and recovery
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to deploy and troubleshoot Azure services for business application deployments
• Automate cloud services using Terraform (HCL), Ansible, PowerShell, and Azure DevOps pipelines
• Support and maintain Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Linux VMs, including provisioning, patching, certificate renewal, image builds, and decommissions
• Provide mentorship and support to team members and contribute to technology adoption, design reviews, and the long-term cloud roadmap
• Participate in an on-call rotation with other team members

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience in infrastructure design/support or software development, including 2+ years with cloud technologies
• Proficiency in complex, integrated IT environments
• Hands-on experience with automation using PowerShell, shell scripting, and Ansible
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, BICEP, or ARM
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Red Hat Linux administration and patching
• Demonstrated experience in designing and deploying Microsoft Azure solutions (IaaS and PaaS)
• Knowledge of Azure networking, redundancy, application services, and recovery mechanisms
• Proficiency in Azure DevOps (classic and YAML pipelines), CI/CD best practices
• Excellent problem-solving skills and team collaboration capabilities
• Experience working within Agile and DevOps methodologies
• Undergraduate degree in a STEM field
