Position: Parts Procurement Supervisor

Location: Oshawa, ON

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Employment Type: Full-Time

Compensation: CA$60,000 - 70,000/Year (Depending on experience)

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Parts Procurement Supervisor to oversee the procurement, inventory management, and vendor coordination of our mobile equipment and maintenance parts division. This role involves supervising a small team, managing part logistics, and ensuring the timely delivery and availability of all necessary materials to support our operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of up to 3 procurement staff
  • Research and source parts using manuals, databases, and online platforms
  • Maintain consistent communication with manufacturers and vendors to secure competitive pricing
  • Manage vendor quotes and prepare accurate requisition orders
  • Receive, verify, and organize incoming parts and supplies
  • Maintain accurate tracking sheets and procurement records
  • Store materials in designated, orderly locations and ensure stockroom cleanliness
  • Monitor inventory levels and reorder to meet minimum/maximum thresholds
  • Collaborate with trades and facility supervisors to prioritize orders and support repairs
  • Ensure timely processing of MSR shipping documents and purchase orders
  • Track and present cost-saving initiatives and procurement metrics to management
  • Utilize systems such as Fleetio and Excel spreadsheets to manage repair part data
  • Support other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in automotive or industrial parts procurement
  • Post-secondary education required
  • Must be TDG-certified or willing to complete certification (valid for 2 years)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Able to work flex shifts if required by business needs
  • Must be able to commute reliably to Oshawa, ON

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Fleetio or similar maintenance tracking systems
  • Proficiency with Excel and inventory software
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
