Job Description

Fixed Income and Front Office Analyst (Trade support)

Location: Montreal, QC (hybrid 3 days onsite)

12 months contract, extendable after 12 months/conversion

Job Description:

Our team is seeking a Trading Systems Support Specialist with a strong background in supporting trading systems and a solid understanding of global financial products, particularly FOREX, Money Market, and Fixed Income products. The ideal candidate will possess experience in providing Front Office support and be adept at liaising with traders and other users to resolve complex issues. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing team within the financial services industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide front-office support for trading systems, ensuring seamless operation and quick resolution of any user issues, specifically for trading desks.
  • Offer expertise on global financial products, including FOREX, Money Market, and Fixed Income products, with a focus on interest-driven markets and bonds.
  • Collaborate with traders and front office teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Utilize Unix for basic navigation and troubleshooting tasks in support of the trading systems.
  • Leverage basic knowledge of SQL or any database to query and troubleshoot data-related issues.
  • Use Jira, ServiceNow, and basic APS tools for tracking and managing support tickets.
  • Gain exposure to Grafana (although prior experience is not required).
  • Support banking industry operations, bringing a strong understanding of market practices and trading processes.
  • Take ownership of problems, acting as a self-starter to diagnose, escalate, and resolve issues proactively.
  • Participate in basic training programs on Unix commands and tools used in the organization.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of experience in trading system support with a focus on Front Office support.
  • Strong global financial products knowledge with specific experience in FOREX, Money Market, and Fixed Income products.
  • Good understanding of the interest-driven market, including bonds and related financial instruments.
  • Basic Unix skills with the ability to navigate and troubleshoot.
  • Familiarity with SQL or any relational database for querying and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with Jira, ServiceNow, and basic APS tools (Autosys).
  • Exposure to Grafana is nice to have (no extensive experience required).
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working within the banking industry is a significant advantage.

English is a must; French is a plus.
