Overview of the role:

Nanoprecise is looking to add an IIoT Connectivity Solutions Engineer (4G/LTE & Wi‑Fi), who will be the hands‑on expert who designs, deploys, and troubleshoots 4G/LTE and Wi‑Fi networks for industrial IoT sensor systems. You'll work directly with customers—on‑site and remotely—to ensure reliable, secure, and high‑performance connectivity, and you'll partner internally to drive firmware improvements, presales support, and knowledge‑sharing across Nanoprecise's product and services teams

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect, configure, and commission cellular (4G/LTE) and Wi‑Fi networks—integrating sensors into edge, data‑center, and cloud environments.
  • Perform RF site surveys and capacity planning using tools such as AirMagnet, TEMS, spectrum analyzers, iPerf, and Wireshark.
  • Respond to and resolve connectivity outages and performance issues (latency, data loss, throughput) both onsite and through remote support channels.
  • Participate in on‑call rotations for urgent escalations and extended troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with firmware teams to tune radio parameters, power profiles, and IoT protocols (MQTT, CoAP, HTTP, Modbus).
  • Validate end‑to‑end data integrity and security, conducting firmware updates and regression tests.
  • Integrate devices with AWS IoT, Azure IoT, Google Cloud IoT, and ensure secure data pipelines (VPNs, TLS, 802.1X, WPA2/WPA3).
  • Implement best practices for device authentication, encryption, and network‑segmentation.
  • Assist with RFP responses, proposal development, and presales demonstrations.
  • Produce clear network diagrams, configuration guides, handoff packages, and root‑cause analyses.
  • Capture lessons learned and feed back into product roadmaps and best‑practice playbooks.
  • Serve as the technical interface to CIOs, IT Directors, and maintenance/engineering VPs—translating requirements into robust network solutions.
  • Lead formal training sessions, office hours, and product‑enablement workshops for account and sales teams.

Must‑Have Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years' hands‑on experience troubleshooting and optimizing industrial 4G/LTE and Wi‑Fi networks.
  • Proficiency with network‑diagnostic tools and RF survey software (Wireshark, AirMagnet, TEMS, spectrum analyzers, iPerf).
  • Deep understanding of IoT protocols (MQTT, CoAP, HTTP) and industrial field‑bus standards.
  • Experience with cloud IoT platforms (AWS IoT, Azure IoT, Google Cloud IoT) and secure communication practices.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% travel across North America

Preferred Qualifications & Certifications:

  • Cisco CCNA/CCNP or CCIE (Wireless or Routing & Switching).
  • Certified Wireless Infrastructure Technician (CWIT®).
  • Experience with SIM‑fleet management, MNO/MNVO partnerships, or LPWAN deployments.
  • Strong embedded‑systems background—programming in C/C++ for sensor firmware.

Great reasons to apply for this role:

  • Exciting and dynamic environment with a great leadership team. Regular performance reviews to facilitate your success
  • Competitive compensation based on experience and proven abilities
  • A global workforce of multi-cultural and talented colleagues
  • Amazing growth opportunities for your personal development
