Job Description

Who we are?

The Primary Construction Team consists of ACCIONA Infrastructure Canada Inc. (ACCIONA) and Amico Major Projects Inc. (Amico), as Trillium Guideway Partners (TGP).

What is the project?

The Ontario Line (“OL”) is a fully integrated, stand-alone, rapid transit system that connects Ontario Science Centre to the Exhibition and Ontario Place grounds. The Northern Civil, Stations and Tunnel (“NC”) project consists of approximately 7 kms of underground subway and elevated guideway, with stations along the segment providing connections to surface bus and streetcar routes. The NC project has been divided into two main progressive design-build contracts: (1) the Elevated Guideways and Stations Contract (“EGS”) and the Pape Tunnel and Underground Station Contract (“PTUS”), with supporting Early Works.

What is the Opportunity?

This role is designed for a driven individual looking to build a career in commercial administration within the infrastructure sector. The successful candidate will gain valuable experience in supporting the commercial management of large-scale infrastructure projects, working closely with experienced professionals.

Responsibilities:

*Document Managment

  • Assist in the preparation, review, and maintenance of commercial documents and contracts.
  • Ensure accurate and organized filing of all project documentation.
  • Track and manage document revisions and distribution.
  • Financial Administration:
  • Support the commercial team in managing budgets and financial records.
  • Assist in preparing cost estimates, invoices, and payment applications.
  • Monitor project expenditures and update financial trackers.
  • Procurement Support:
  • Assist in the procurement process, including the preparation of tender documents.
  • Help evaluate supplier bids and maintain procurement records.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for documentation and compliance.
  • Contract Administration:
  • Support the administration of contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
  • Assist in tracking contract performance and key milestones.
  • Help prepare contract amendments and variations as required.

*Reporting and Analysis:

  • Consolidate regular commercial reports for senior management.
  • Assist in the analysis of project costs and commercial performance.
  • Team Coordination:
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure commercial
  • objectives are met.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide administrative support.

Work Conditions:

  • Work Location: Queen St East and Don Mills Area, North York. Next to Science Centre.
  • Full time - office based, with occasional site visits.

What You'll bring to the Team (Knowledge, Skills, Competencies)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Basic understanding of contract law and commercial management principles is a plus.
  • Previous experience or internships in a related field is advantageous but not essential.
  • Knowledge of the infrastructure sector and commercial administration principles is beneficial.
