Job Description

Manga Hotel Group is a Canadian company involved in the acquisition, development and management of high-quality residences and hotels affiliated with prestigious brands such as Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt and Intercontinental Hotels Group. Currently, Manga Hotels owns and operates 33 hotels with over 6000 rooms across Canada and in the United States, 18 food and beverage outlets and 5 residential properties with a number of new properties and developments in the pipeline. As Manga Hotel Group continues to expand, we are actively seeking talented individuals to join our growing team.

We are looking for

We are seeking a detail-oriented and trustworthy Payroll Administrator to join our head office team. This role is responsible for processing accurate and timely payroll for our hotel staff, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and company policies. This is a full-time, on-site position based at the corporate head office of the Manga Hotel Group, located near Toronto Pearson Airport. Remote work is not available for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll transactions by coordinating payroll and time tracking system
  • Monitoring the processing of payroll changes (e.g., new hires, contract terminations, increases) and system improvements
  • Ensuring compliance with important laws and internal policies.
  • Managing government remittances such as T4, payroll taxes, WSIB & EHT
  • Acting as liaison with auditors and managing payroll tax audits
  • Collaborating with the Human Resources (HR) and accounting teams
  • Keeping accurate records and maintain confidential information.
  • Solving problems and answering questions related to payroll
  • Preparing, and implementing payroll accounting
  • Creating reports, personnel statistics, and their evaluations
  • Prepare any ad hoc payroll reporting as per upper management requests
  • Administering group benefit plans.
  • Assist in HR related functions.

Knowledge & Credentials:

  • Minimum 2 years of payroll processing experience is a must.
  • Sage 300 / Payworks / ADP payroll experience is an asset.
  • HR experience is an asset.
  • US payroll experience is an asset

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Good verbal and written interpersonal communication; and
  • Willingness to perform at an accelerated pace and work overtime when needed
