Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily front-of-house operations, ensuring service excellence and a welcoming atmosphere that reflects the unique blend of class and comfort at State & Main.
  • Lead and motivate the front-of-house team, providing guidance, support, and training to maintain high standards of service and hospitality.
  • Manage guest interactions, addressing any issues or feedback to ensure a memorable dining experience for every guest.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure seamless service and efficient operation.
  • Assist in managing inventory and supplies, including ordering and stock control, to support smooth and efficient operations.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new service concepts and initiatives that enhance guest satisfaction and drive repeat business.
  • Support the General Manager in financial management tasks, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe and clean environment for both guests and staff.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2+ years of experience in a front-of-house leadership role in a high-volume, upscale restaurant or bar setting.
  • Strong understanding of restaurant operations and a demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively.
  • Proven experience in managing guest relations, with a focus on delivering exceptional service and handling feedback professionally.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for building strong relationships with guests and team members.
  • A proactive and solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving, with the ability to handle operational challenges efficiently.
  • Passion for the restaurant industry and a desire to grow and develop within the organization.
