We are hiring a Senior Director of Engineering reporting to the Group Vice President of Engineering to lead our industry-leading RMM products – N-Sight and N-central.

A successful candidate for the Sr. Director, Engineering sees themselves as the technical leader within the company. Specifically, the right candidate will have experience building on-prem and SaaS products and managing the technical and architectural roadmaps for the on-prem to SaaS transitions. The right candidate will have experience managing a large engineering organization of 100+ engineers in distributed sites across North America and Europe.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide exceptional leadership to the engineering teams, optimizing performance and continually improving efficiency and capability
  • Partner with the GVP of engineering to establish budgets, and talent growth plans, and develop strategic direction and initiatives to advance the RMM product portfolio
  • Collaborate with architects, product managers, UX, GM and technical support to deliver high-quality, technically sound products on schedule with great user experience
  • Identify KPIs and drive a culture of data-driven-management to objectively measure engineering performance, velocity, impact and optimize processes
  • Continuously deliver high-quality software, balancing competing priorities and ensuring continuous delivery of key customer features while managing technical debt and resolving defects
  • Drive all aspects of recruiting including, but not limited to, attracting great talent and retaining a highly-skilled, proficient engineering team
  • Build leadership skills within the organization - mentor and grow members of the management and engineering teams
  • Foster successful peer partnerships with other department leaders in Engineering, and cross-functionally (GM, Product Management, marketing, sales & support)
  • Establish and maintain best-in-class software engineering and agile development practices

What You'll Bring:

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 15+ years of relevant industry experience
  • 5+ years of experience in designing and delivering distributed, highly available, large-scale, high-performing enterprise on-prem and/or SaaS software applications
  • Years of progressive senior leadership experience in overseeing software products with 5+ years in a technical management position
  • Experience leading, coaching and developing managers, senior managers, architects, and directors
  • Customer-focused problem-solving, results-driven, and strong team orientation and organizational capabilities
  • Successful track record of transitioning organizations from on-prem to cloud
  • Seasoned in leading globally disperse workforce comprising of full-time employees as well as near/offshore consultants
  • Technical background in similar technologies (Java, C#, Javascript, Kubernetes, Serverless)
  • Excellent multi-functional communication skill and work ethics to collaborate within engineering, and with product management, support, sales, and other N-able teams to drive successful releases
  • Commitment to understand, communicate and improve quality of products
  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
