Mission Group is looking for a Leasing Manager to join our Property Management Team on a regular full-time basis. This position is responsible for managing the leasing aspects of all Mission Group rental properties, assisting Community Managers with their property management duties, and assisting with commercial property management (ex. maintenance requests, resolving property issues, acquiring insurance).
The ideal candidate will have experience in a customer-facing role and be able to provide exceptional customer service. If you have an outgoing, shining personality, with experience in leasing and property management, we would like to hear from you!
Whatyou'll do:
- Promote and lease properties from our inventory and be knowledgeable of their assets
- Ensure proactive and timely resolution of all prospective and current resident queries and issues
- Conduct market research and provide recommendations on leasing rates and incentives
- Organize, market, and host open houses and other tenant events
- Travel to sites throughout Kelowna and Penticton (using your personal vehicle and valid drivers license)
- Qualify prospective residents to determine their needs and suitability, process applications, and create lease agreements
- Meet prospective renters/leasers for one-on-one appointments to showcase available spaces
- Work evenings and weekends as required, including providing after-hours coverage on a rotational basis
- Respond to tenant requests, change lock batteries, and enforce rule and regulations as required to assist and cover for Community Manager absences
- Assist with the management of the commercial portfolio of retail and office units
- Other duties as may be assigned
What you'll have:
- Minimum of 3 years of customer-facing experience required, ideally in a leasing or property management capacity
- Proficient with computer systems, including strong MS Office Suite skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Reliable vehicle and valid drivers license
- Ideally an in-depth understanding of rental market research
- Experience with Yardi software is an asset
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
