The Nuna Group of Companies is now accepting resumes for a HR Administrator in our Edmonton, AB office. Nuna is the largest Inuit-owned heavy civil construction, earthworks, and mine construction contractor in Canada.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all the human resources data. The Administrator is responsible for all required data entry, updates of personnel files, and prepares the required documentation for managers and employees when required.

Please note that this is a temporary contract role.

Some Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accuracy of information in JD Edwards for Union, Non-Union, and Salary employees.
  • Communicated employee changes to stakeholders as necessary.
  • Act as main administrator and point of contact for employee benefits and RRSP.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot employee overtime groups.
  • Provide administrative support, including
    • Assist with drafting and updating HR documents and correspondence;
    • Producing reports as required;
    • Maintain spreadsheets as required; and
    • Processing onboarding & terminations.
  • Answer employee questions for CLAC as requested;
  • Maintain HR filing system and ensure personnel files contain the necessary information.
  • Other office duties as assigned.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum one (1) years as a Human Resource Administrator or other administrative role.

Education:

  • High school diploma / GED required.
  • Human Resources Education from a recognized post-secondary facility is considered an asset.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Detailed, accurate and results-oriented self-starter.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of JD Edwards software is an asset.
  • Ability to prioritize daily workload.
  • Self-motivated, detail orientated, exceptional organizational skills and extremely accurate.
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision.
