Are you passionate about connecting business systems, streamlining workflows, and making data smarter? Were looking for a Semantic Automation Engineer to be the bridge between our business teams and our semantic knowledge infrastructure. In this role, youll design event-driven automations using low-code tools (like Make.com or Zapier) and contribute to a unified, intelligent data layer using semantic web technologies. Functional Accountabilities:
Strategy:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to identify and prioritize opportunities to evolve existing systems through integration, automation, and improved data flow integrity.
- Partner with the Ontologist to model and transform business data into a unified semantic source of truth within the knowledge graph
Execution:
- Design and implement low-code/no-code integrations using platforms like Make.com or Zapier to automate workflows across Finance, Customer Success, Marketing, and Sales systems.
- Develop event-driven data flows that support real-time synchronization and reduce manual intervention.
Maintenance:
- Ensure the reliable, bidirectional synchronization of key business entities (e.g., customers, addresses, transactions) across core systems, maintaining data accuracy and consistency.
Key Competencies:
Business & Communication Skills:
- Strong business analysis skills to translate stakeholder needs into scalable, semantic automation solutions
- High attention to detail and a strong focus on data quality across customer, financial, and operational data
- Effective communicator, able to collaborate with both technical teams and business stakeholders to evolve systems strategically
Technical Skills:
- Hands-on experience with low-code/no-code platforms (e.g., Make.com, Zapier) and API integrations across business systems
- Working knowledge of RDF, OWL, and graph databases (preferably AWS Neptune), with basic scripting skills in JavaScript or Python
- Ability to design event-driven workflows and extend third-party platform capabilities (e.g., HubSpot, Stripe) using vendor toolkits and APIs
- Proficient in applying AI tools (e.g., GPT, automation co-pilots) for data enrichment and transformation tasks
Metrics:
- Integration Stability Rate (Percentage of successful integration deployments without rollback or rework)
- Mean Time to Resolution (MTTR) for integration failures or synchronization errors
- System Synchronization Coverage (Percentage of core business systems mapped and synchronized with the Knowledge Graph)
- Automation Cost Efficiency (Hosting/automation platform costs relative to budget and usage volume)
- Operational Automation Impact (Number of manual workflows automated or significantly streamlined per quarter)
