Linck Child, Youth and Family Supports (“Linck”) requires one (1) Supervised Access Worker. This is a full-time contract position beginning as soon as possible and lasting one (1) year.
This position will require working days, evenings and weekends. The incumbent would be expected to work “irregular” hours based on the needs of the program.
The successful candidate will observe access visits for families receiving child protection services; record clear and concise fact based case notes regarding details during access visits, including parent-child interactions, foster parent/ parent interactions, parent/staff interactions, exceptional information, etc.; maintain a safe environment for the children.
Qualifications:
  • Two or more year diploma course from a community college in a related field;
  • Over three (3) months and up to one (1) year related experience;
  • Computer and keyboarding skills, extensive use of word-processing ;
  • Experience working with families;
  • Knowledge of family systems;
  • Experience in working with distressed families or families at risk of child maltreatment would be an asset;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Proven time management skills;
  • Computer literate;
  • A valid G driver's license and use of a personal vehicle;
  • The ability to communicate in French is an asset;
  • Preference will be given to persons with a strong understanding and extensive experience working with other cultures, heritages and traditions; and
  • A commitment to developing the highest quality culturally-appropriate service possible for the various communities that we serve.

Salary Range: Pay Grid 10 $20.27-$25.62
