The Opportunity
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant. The role will be a key contributor in our four-person Finance and Accounting team. To be successful as a Senior Accountant, you should have a strong accounting background combined with strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. You will need to work both autonomously and within a highly productive team.
What You'll Do
  • Monthly financial reporting and analysis
  • Day-to-day bookkeeping, including cost accounting
  • Oversee AP and AR process
  • State and local tax reporting
  • Support financial audits
  • Assist in budgeting process
  • Projects directed by CFO
  • Maintain employee commission records
  • Research technical accounting matters

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in private equity backed company
  • 4+ years of accounting experience
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
  • Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Preferred if CPA
  • Preferred if experience with Netsuite and Bill.com
  • Experience with financial audits
  • Experience with accounting for multiple entities and business units
  • Experience with AR and AP process
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Detail-oriented and able to perform in a high-pressure environment
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

The expected salary for this position is $90,000 – 130,000 CAD. When determining your pay, we will take into account your skills, experience, and location.
