Matrix HR is looking for Journeyman Pipefitters and Millwrights to join a trusted team on a major long-term LNG construction project. This is a full-time opportunity at one of Canada's flagship energy sites!

Compensation & Schedule
  • JM Regular rate : $46.51/hour (OT after 8 Hrs & weekends)
  • Shift pattern: 14 days on / 7 days off
  • Shift length: 10-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain and troubleshoot piping systems according to engineering drawings and specifications
  • Perform high torquing and tensioning of bolted connections to precise torque wrench settings
  • Read and interpret P&IDs, isometrics, and flange alignment drawings
  • Dismantle, align and reassemble rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, turbines) as needed
  • Conduct pre startup inspections and pressure testing of piping circuits
  • Ensure all work meets applicable codes (ASME B31.3, CSA, API) and project quality standards
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (welders, electricians, riggers) to coordinate scopes
  • Complete daily reports, time sheets, and permit to work documentation
  • Uphold site safety protocols, participate in toolbox talks, and mentor apprentices
Required Qualifications
  • Journeyman certification in Pipefitting or Millwright trade
  • Minimum 5 years' proven experience in industrial pipefitting/mechanical on heavy industry projects
  • Demonstrated expertise in high torquing bolting techniques (hydraulic torquing tools, tensioners)
  • Proficiency reading and working from P&IDs, isometrics, and alignment schematics
  • Ability to safely operate overhead cranes, hoists, and mechanical jacks
  • Valid CSO, WHMIS, and CSTS
  • Physically fit and able to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in all weather conditions
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality and teamwork
Preferred Experience
  • Previous work on an LNGC or large-scale liquefied natural gas construction/maintenance project
  • Experience with controlled goods environments or security cleared sites
  • Familiarity with precision alignment tools (laser, optical alignment systems)
  • Basic rigging and signaling certification
