Position Overview

The role of a heavy equipment operator is both challenging and rewarding, involving the operation of large machines used in construction, mining, and other industrial projects. Know your way around an excavator? Used 3D grading systems before? If youve spent time in the seat of a skid steer or mini excavator, we want to hear from you! Were looking for someone with real experience whos ready to jump in and get the job done. Heres a closer look at what the role typically entails.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy machinery such as bulldozers, excavators, and graders for various construction projects.
• Conduct pre-operation checks to ensure all equipment is safe and functional.
• Prepare and manage construction sites, coordinating the movement of materials and ensuring compliance with project specifications.
• Handle materials efficiently while maintaining strict safety standards.
• Maintain equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure operational efficiency.
• Communicate and collaborate with a diverse team to meet project goals.
• Solve problems proactively to keep projects on track and equipment functioning effectively.
  

Qualifications

• Experienced and Certified: You have a minimum of 5 years expereince in excavator, mini excavator, skid steer and 3D grading systems.You have extensive experience with heavy machinery, and any necessary certifications.
• Technically Proficient: Whether you're familiar with 3D grading systems or need additional training, you're ready to learn and apply new skills. You have operated machinery on construction sites, which as you know, can be noisy and dusty.
• Physically Fit and Detail-Oriented: You can meet the physical demands of the job while focusing on precision and safety.
• Adaptive and Collaborative: You thrive in dynamic environments and enjoy working as part of a team.
