Linck Child, Youth & Family Supports (“Linck”) requires four (4) contract, full-time (70 hours bi-weekly) Early Developmental Support Worker(s) .The start date of these position(s) will be June 23, 2025 and last until August 29, 2025.
Hours of work may cover all shifts of the program:
  • Before school programming.
  • Day programming.
  • After school programming.

The incumbents may be scheduled in before school programming, day programming, after school programming, or a combination thereof.
The worker will provide preventative and intervention services to children in a childcare environment to enhance the child's functioning in daily living. The children generally are high needs with either physical, cognitive, behavioural or emotional difficulties and the client and childcare setting require additional staffing support to enable better integration into the childcare program.
We support licensed childcares throughout the municipality of Chatham-Kent. Incumbents will be required to travel to childcare locations as assigned throughout the municipality.
Salary Range: Pay Grid 9 $22.38—$28.43.
Qualifications:
  • An Early Childhood Education diploma, Developmental Services Worker diploma, Educational Assistant/Support diploma, Practical Nursing diploma, or post-secondary education in a related discipline.
  • Up to three (3) months related experience.
  • Proven organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the public and staff.
  • Courtesy and tact required in explaining, exchanging information with clients and staff.
  • Computer and keyboarding skills.
  • A valid drivers license and use of a personal vehicle.
  • The ability to communicate in French is an asset.
  • Lifting may be required.
