Responsibilities:

Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair various mechanical devices and systems to achieve optimum life span of equipment.

Perform inspections of building service rooms and areas (both interior and exterior).

Verify controls and ensure readings are within accepted standards.

Perform general maintenance tasks, such as filter and belt changing, greasing, etc.

Assist with heavy lifting and moving or cleaning site furniture as needed.

Pressure washing: exterior of the geodesic domes, outdoor surfaces and more..

Seasonal decorating: set up and take down holiday displays, lights or furniture.

General pond maintenance and oversight

Complete planned maintenance activities as assigned, providing notes and comments on completed work, identifying repair opportunities, taking pictures as required, and ensuring minimal rework.

Picking up materials as needed (in a company vehicle).

Respond to emergencies and/or complaints and notify the Facility Manager immediately in the case of an emergency.

Perform light duties such as sweeping, cleaning, garbage removal, snow removal; assisting carpenters with misc. tasks as needed, etc.

Operating equipment as needed to complete tasks: forklift, scissor lift, zoom boom, etc.

Requirements:

3 years of experience as a handy-man

G license with a clean abstract

Reliable transportation to get to/from site (not bus accessible)

Ability to lift 50+lbs continuously through the day (heavy lifting)

Positive attitude and good communication skills

Operating experience is an asset
