Position DetailsJoin our dynamic team as a Systems Analyst and play a crucial role in supporting, maintaining, and enhancing our business applications. You'll be responsible for evaluating, analyzing, and improving our systems to ensure they are efficient, reliable, and aligned with our organizational goals. Collaborate with a diverse IT team and user-base across manufacturing plants in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Italy, and China to design, implement, and optimize system solutions that meet our business requirements. What you will do:

  • System Evaluation & Analysis:
    Assess current systems, gather business requirements, and analyze the efficiency and performance of existing IT infrastructures. Identify gaps, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
  • System Design & Development:
    Design and develop system specifications and technical solutions that address business needs. Collaborate with other analysts and developers to create effective software solutions. Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and efficient.
  • Business Requirements Gathering:
    Work with business stakeholders to gather, document, and validate requirements for system enhancements or new systems. Translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Process Improvement:
    Identify opportunities to streamline and improve workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and enhance overall business performance. Propose new systems, tools, or processes to improve operational efficiency.
  • Implementation Support:
    Assist in the implementation of new systems, upgrades, and enhancements, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal business disruption. Conduct testing and troubleshooting to ensure systems function as intended.
  • System Documentation:
    Maintain clear documentation for system design, configurations, procedures, and training materials.
    Provide end-user support materials and assist in system training sessions.
  • Collaboration:
    Work with cross-functional teams, including IT, business operations, and external vendors, to ensure alignment of system designs with organizational goals. Serve as a liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Troubleshooting & Support:
    Provide support and troubleshooting assistance for system issues. Proactively identify and resolve problems to minimize downtime and improve system performance.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficiency in system analysis techniques, data modeling, and process mapping.
  • Experience with various software development life cycles (SDLC).
  • Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., ABAP, SQL, Java, Python) and systems architecture.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and clients
  • Basic project management skills and experience with Agile, Waterfall, or other methodologies.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred), cloud platforms, and business intelligence tools.
  • Knowledge of data analytics and reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle).
  • Understanding of network systems and IT infrastructure

  • Excellent base salary and targeted annual bonus structure (Entry Salary: $60,000 plus bonus; Salary will be determined based on skills, ability, and qualifications)

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, CBAP) are a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience in systems analysis, business analysis, or a related IT role preferred, entry level candidates with demonstrated competencies considered.
  • Experience with system design, development, and implementation preferred.
  • Experience in one or more of SAP SD, MM, PP preferred

This position requires travel both domestically and internationally up to 15% of the time. This position is being filled in our Charlottetown office and is not available for remote work at this time.
