We are currently seeking a highly experienced Sous Chef to join our team and help us continue raising the bar.
Position Summary:
We are looking for a Sous Chef with over 5 years of professional kitchen experience to support the Executive Chef in leading our culinary operations. The ideal candidate must be confident running all kitchen services — brunch, lunch, and dinner — and must thrive in high-pressure environments, especially during rush hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing all kitchen operations and staff
- Execute and manage service across all dayparts: brunch, lunch, and dinner
- Maintain composure and leadership during busy rush periods
- Ensure consistent food quality, taste, and presentation
- Mentor, train, and supervise kitchen team members
- Monitor inventory, assist with ordering, and ensure proper food storage
- Uphold all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
- Collaborate on menu creation and seasonal features
- Step in as lead chef in the absence of the Executive Chef
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a professional kitchen, with at least 2 years in a leadership or sous chef role
- Proven ability to manage high-volume services during peak hours
- Experience executing full-day kitchen operations, from brunch to dinner
- Strong leadership, multitasking, and communication skills
- Culinary diploma or Red Seal certification is an asset
- Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
- Valid Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain)
