We are seeking a highly organized and creative Events and Marketing Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing online/in-person college and university fairs and marketing initiatives to promote our brand, engage our target audience (i.e. high school counsellors and students/families), and drive growth.
Responsibilities:
Event Planning and Execution:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute a wide range of events, including conferences, workshops, trade shows, webinars, and promotional events.
- Manage all event logistics, including venue selection, vendor negotiation, catering, audiovisual equipment, and on-site event management.
- Develop event timelines, budgets, and marketing plans to ensure successful event execution.
- Coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, and sponsors to ensure seamless event delivery.
- Evaluate event success and provide recommendations for future improvements.
Marketing Support:
- Assist in the development and implementation of marketing strategies to promote events and other company initiatives.
- Create marketing materials, including email campaigns, social media content, brochures, and website updates.
- Manage social media accounts and online communities to engage with target audiences and promote events.
- Coordinate and track marketing campaigns and analyze results.
- Maintain and update the company's website and other digital platforms.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in event planning and marketing coordination.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with social media management tools and digital marketing platforms.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required for events.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with CRM software (e.g., HubSpot) and email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp).
- Experience using Canva and other graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
- Event planning certification or relevant training.
