About the Job
- Develop and Execute Test Plans: Cover software, firmware, and hardware functionality.
- Hardware-Software Integration Testing: Validate system behaviour across mechanical and digital components.
- Bug Reporting and Verification: Document, communicate, and retest defects.
- Regression and Smoke Testing: Ensure stability across builds and hardware versions.
- Contribute to QA Infrastructure: Improve automation, test tools, and workflows.
About You
- Post-secondary education in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of QA experience (hardware/software environment preferred).
- Hands-on experience with consumer hardware or embedded devices.
- Experience with hardware/software QA testing.
- Basic electronics knowledge (sensors, motors, controllers).
- Proficiency in using test equipment (multimeters, calipers, etc.).
- Experience with issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira, GitHub Issues).
- Basic scripting or automation (Python, Bash, etc.).
- Familiarity with serial communication (USB/UART).
Nice to haves:
- Experience with firmware (e.g., Marlin, Klipper, RepRap)
- Familiarity with 3D printer operation and G-code
- Experience with test automation frameworks or robotics systems
