Job Description

Everest Automation is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Valve Assembly Technician to join our team at our Sarnia facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, testing, and troubleshooting valves to ensure they meet our high standards of quality and performance. This role may also require occasional travel to customer sites to provide support during shutdowns and preventative maintenance activities.

Task & Responsibilities

This position needs to meet high standards of workmanship and efficiency while meeting safety and quality standards. The Service Coordinator will prepare the necessary requirements to ensure that the technician is ready to successfully service the customer in the following tasks.

Assemble valves according to specifications and engineering drawings.

Conduct testing and troubleshooting of valves to ensure proper functionality.

Perform routine maintenance and inspections on valves.

Document assembly processes and test results.

Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams to resolve any issues.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Follow frequent training to stay up to date.

Travel to customer sites as needed to support during shutdowns and preventative maintenance.

Qualifications:

Certifications, licenses, or job experience appropriate to manufacturing industry are an asset

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.

Results driven and customer service oriented.

Good oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Ability to manage multiple priorities

Working Conditions

Work is performed in a workshop environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.

Exposure to hazards associated with an industrial process related to our field of valve products, assembly, and service business.

Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection are required.

Physical demands include standing for extended periods, lifting and carrying heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), and performing repetitive tasks.

Occasional travel to customer sites, which may involve working in different environments and conditions.

Must maintain a valid drivers license
