Senior IT Security Engineer

Job Description:

Our valued government client is seeking an Intermediate reliability-cleared IT Security Engineer with experience in software development security practices, including authentication, data security, encryption, and threat modeling. This role requires a deep understanding of secure coding, identity and access management, penetration testing, and cloud infrastructure security. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with common security protocols and implementing automated security scanning within a DevSecOps pipeline.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply your expertise in authentication, data security, encryption, and secure coding to improve system security.
• Perform penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate security risks.
• Implement and manage security protocols including encryption, PKI, and modern authentication.
• Secure cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines with integrated security controls.
• Monitor and manage continuous security in the system through automated tools and processes.
• Provide guidance on identity and access management, including implementation of security best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related Engineering or Science stream, or equivalent college diploma.
• Enhanced reliability security clearance
• Experience implementing automated security scanning in a CI/CD DevSecOps pipeline.
