Our client is currently seeking a highly skilled and confident Mid-Level Labour & Employment Associate to join their esteemed Calgary team of legal professionals. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to a dynamic practice and work alongside some of the industry's top talent.
Qualifications and Attributes:
- 3-5 years of post-call experience in labour and employment law from a reputable national, regional, or boutique firm.
- Demonstrated experience advising and representing employers across various aspects of employment and labour law, including the implications of corporate transactions and reorganizations.
- Experience in labour arbitrations and/or administrative tribunals is considered an asset.
- Proficiency in drafting and negotiating employment contracts, as well as knowledge of executive compensation, workers' compensation, pay equity, and employment equity
- Familiarity with occupational health and safety prosecutions, human rights issues, employment standards, privacy matters, terminations, layoffs, and workplace investigations
- Excellent academic credentials
- Superior communication and drafting skills, with strong attention to detail
- Qualified to practice law in Canada
