Job Description

We are in search of a Controller to join our Client's team in Guelph, Ontario. The selected individual will be primarily tasked with managing the financial activities of the company. This includes planning, implementing, and controlling various financial-related tasks. The role will also involve transitioning into managing all financial functions, including the preparation and analysis of financial statements, cash flow projections, forecasts, budgets, and funding opportunities & strategy. Critical to this Controllership is having solid manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities:

• Implement and manage all financial-related activities within the company

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations

• Develop and monitor cash flow projections, identifying potential risks and opportunities

• Generate forecasts and budgets, aligning with the company's financial goals

• Identify and explore funding opportunities and strategies to boost financial performance

• Manage and oversee all accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Utilize accounting software systems to streamline financial processes

• Conduct regular audit activities, implementing corrective actions when necessary

• Adhere to IFRS Accounting standards and SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley regulations

• Oversee the controllership function, ensuring the integrity of financial data

• Facilitate the period-end closing process, resolving any discrepancies promptly.

Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role.

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems (ERP).

• Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Functions.

• Experience handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Proven track record in Auditing.

• Familiarity with Budget Processes.

• Demonstrated expertise in Controllership.

• Experience in Budgeting and Forecasting.

• Proficiency in Period End Closing.

• Experience conducting Audit Activities.

• Strong skills in Financial Reporting.

• Proficiency in IFRS Accounting.

• Familiarity with SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley.
