We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Payroll & HR Operations Specialist to join our Human Resources team. In this role, you will support and ensure the smooth execution of payroll and HR operations across North America and internationally (UK, Netherlands, and Italy). This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, is a strong communicator, and has a customer-service mindset.
Some of what you'll do:
- Assist with the processing of North American payroll and act as the backup to the payroll lead.
- Coordinate and process international payrolls (UK, Netherlands, Italy) in partnership with external providers.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws and company policies.
- Prepare and manage all employee documentation including letters for employment, confirmation, promotions, salary changes, status changes, and terminations.
- Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a seamless employee experience.
- Maintain and update employee data in ADP Workforce Now.
- Administer employee benefits and coordinate with insurance providers.
- Track and manage employee sick leaves and leaves of absence.
- Be the main point of contact for Retail teams and provide consistent HR support.
- Respond to inquiries from the HR mailbox in a timely and professional manner.
- Support the implementation of new HR policies, procedures, and systems.
- Troubleshooting and resolve Payroll or HR related issues.
- Assist with HR-related events and initiatives.
- Generate and manage ad-hoc HR reports as needed.
Some of what you'll need:
- 2–3 years of experience in Payroll & Human Resources operations.
- Working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now is a strong asset.
- Payroll PCP designation is an asset.
- Experience with international payroll and working across different regions an asset.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a high attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Customer service-oriented and able to build strong cross-functional relationships.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bilingual
Given the international nature of our business and of this position, the candidate will be required to communicate effectively, on a regular basis, with various stakeholders (co-workers, colleagues, customers, suppliers, etc.) located in Canada outside Quebec or throughout the world. Proficiency in languages other than French (notably, English) will be an asset for the successful candidate.
