Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming CNC machines to produce high-quality components according to specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of Mastercam software, blueprint reading, and machining processes. The CNC Programmer will collaborate closely with production staff to ensure efficient operations and adherence to quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize CNC programs for milling machines based on engineering drawings and specifications.
- Experience in 4 & 5-axis machine programming is a MUST.
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining requirements.
- Utilize CAD software, such as Vericut, SolidWorks, and Mastercam, to create and modify part designs.
- Working knowledge of operating and setups on CNC machines, ensuring proper calibration and alignment,t is a plus.
- Conduct quality checks using calipers and other measuring tools to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Maintain and develop processes, adhering to Lean manufacturing principles.
- Experience with the Haas Machines is highly beneficial. Especially Haas 4 & 5-axis machines.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a CNC Programmer in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in CAD software, particularly Mastercam and SolidWorks; experience with other design software is a plus.
- Strong understanding of milling machines and machining processes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles is preferred.
- Experience using calipers and other precision measuring tools for quality control.
- Knowledge of welding processes is advantageous but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
