JOB DESCRIPTION

Insight Global is looking for an experienced Pharmacist that will work at a leading pharmacy in Kingston, Ontario. The role will be focused on advising customers on indications, contraindications, adverse effects, drug interactions, and dosage. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the storage, packaging, and distribution of medicinal products, and dispensing prescribed pharmaceuticals to customers or other health care professionals. As a pharmacist, you will be working alongside the pharmacy team to ensure proper dosage, compounding prescribed pharmaceutical products by calculating, measuring, and mixing the right quantities of drugs and other ingredients, and maintaining medication profiles of customers including registry of poisons and narcotic and controlled drugs. You will also supervise and coordinate the activities of other pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, pharmacy technicians, and other staff to ensure the quality of deliverables in a timely manner.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• University degree in Pharmacy
• Licensed, registered Pharmacist in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
• Strong knowledge of regulatory and competitive environments for prescription drugs
• Excellent analytical, communication, and operational skills
• Knowledge of medication, dosage measurement, pharmacy law, and medical terminology
