Iris's client, one of the Top 5 Bank in Canada is looking to hire a Sr. Data Engineer for a long term contract opportunity.

Position: Sr. Data Engineer

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)

Required Skill

  • We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with hands-on experience in PySpark, Databricks, and Apache Airflow to join our data platform team. You will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and workflows that support business intelligence, analytics, and machine learning initiatives.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using PySpark on Databricks.
  • Implement workflow orchestration using Apache Airflow, ensuring robust scheduling, monitoring, and error handling.
  • Integrate data from various sources including relational databases, APIs, and cloud storage platforms.
  • Optimize data transformation processes for performance and cost in cloud environments (preferably Azure or AWS).
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver clean, reliable, and timely data.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity through validation and testing frameworks.
  • Contribute to the automation of CI/CD processes for data pipeline deployment.
