Job Description:
- The main function of the L&D Instructional Designer/Developer is to assess learning needs, consult, scope, recommend, design, and develop high-quality, fully accessible, multi-approach blended learning and performance solutions supporting a complex, highly visible, fast-paced learning project.
Accountabilities:
- Supports a highly complex learning project by assessing learning needs, recommending solutions, and delivering timely, high-quality, consistent learning solutions that positively impact client business metrics
- Ability to synthesize, simplify, and communicate complex information and theoretical concepts while applying clear language principles
- Effectively collaborates with multiple stakeholders at all levels
- Works directly with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to capture content-specific knowledge
- Designs and develops engaging, interactive, accessible, blended learning solutions, ensuring learning and performance objectives are met
- Ensures learning solutions align to the client's brand, learner accessibility, and principles of diversity and inclusion, leveraging established standards and guidelines, and achieve success criteria while managing scope, risks, stakeholder engagement, and problem resolution
- Leverages best-in-class common practices, processes, and measures across the design/development function
- Provides deep subject matter expertise in learning and performance consulting, including knowledge of external best practices and emerging trends; maintains best practices in instructional design and development, and program evaluation and measurement
- Provides design and development thought leadership and/or industry knowledge and participates in knowledge transfer within the team
- Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines
- Protects the interests of the organization – identifies and manages risks, and escalates non-standard activities/concerns as necessary
- Maintains a culture of risk management and control
Must Have:
- 8+ years' experience as an Instructional Designer and Developer
- Educational background in Instructional Design / Adult Learning Certificate
- Advanced design skills in creating high-quality, fully accessible learning deliverables in all modalities (i.e., instructor-led - classroom & virtual materials; and self-led learning, etc.)
- Instructional Design and Development experience supporting the financial industry on complex, fast-paced projects
- Skills developing eLearning using the Articulate 360 suite of products
- Skills developing videos using a variety of products (Adobe suite, Camtasia, Vyond, etc.)
- Advanced MS Office (PowerPoint & Word) experience
Degree/Certifications Required:
- Educational background in Instructional Design / Adult Learning Certificate
