Job Description

We are currently searching for an ambitious Senior Maintenance & Reliability Manager for our Global manufacturing team in London, Ontario.

Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, our ideal candidate will enjoy implementing high level strategies that improve asset reliability throughout our production facility. This position focuses on supporting global strategies for preventive maintenance, asset reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will work closely with the senior management team to set the vision for asset reliability working with cross functional teams to develop solutions to enhance performance and support operation goals locally.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be responsible for continually increasing Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and best practices to ensure proactive measures are taken
  • Maintain, enhance and manage preventative maintenance programs in conjunction with Engineering, Operations Finance, and Quality Assurance
  • Be responsible for maintenance and asset reliability budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources across the facility
  • Oversee a team of maintenance professionals that manage our industrial electrical, PLC's, equipment reliability, HVAC and utilities
  • Perform root-cause analysis to implement sustainable countermeasures on losses related to maintenance

  • Partner with Engineering team on new asset purchases, corporate initiatives and continuous improvement projects
  • Support the implementation of strategies to improve performance, uptime, and life cycle of production assets, packaging lines, and refrigeration systems
  • Oversee the best in class maintenance programs and strategies e.g., World Class Manufacturing, Total Predictive Maintenance (TPM), RCM, Predictive and Preventative Maintenance

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10+ years' experience in industrial maintenance leadership in a Manufacturing environment
  • Post secondary education in Engineering or Mechanical discipline
  • Strong mechanical knowledge (electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and PLC controls).
  • Strong project management skills in planning, scheduling, assigning, budgeting to manage deliverables on time
  • Strong computer skills, previous experience with SAP, SAP PM Mobile or CMMS preferred
  • Experience working with robotics and automation in a manufacturing environment (is an asset).
  • Familiar with continuous production process and improvements
  • Proven experience leading successful teams by executing with excellent interpersonal, communication, conflict resolution skills; development of people; and motivate to perform
