Job Description

Capgemini Canada is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the delivery of transformational Data & AI programs. We are looking for local candidates that can work hybrid from North York. Experience in utility is required.

This pivotal role requires strong project management expertise, including planning, execution, stakeholder management, risk mitigation, and team leadership. The Project Management role in the Insights & Data division is a blend between delivery leadership, client management and driving innovative solutioning.

Must-Have Certifications

  • Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) (preferred) or
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all project management activities aligned to full SDLC processes and documentation standards.
  • Manage multiple internal and external stakeholder relationships, including third-party vendor coordination.
  • Monitor and control milestones and delivery schedules and report on regular basis.
  • Monitor project action items through to closure and maintain delivery momentum.
  • Drive resolution of risks and issues with clearly defined mitigation strategies.
  • Facilitate executive-level project status reporting and escalations.
  • Oversee project planning, budgeting, and use of collaborative tools for schedule tracking and documentation.
  • Foster strong team alignment and engagement through proactive leadership and structured communication.
  • Facilitate discussions between development teams and customer.
  • Deploy and uphold core delivery process: risk management, quality controls, scope management, change request management
  • Ensure financial discipline and compliance with project management KPIs within Capgemini
  • Ensure compliance with customer's project management methodology

Required Skills & Experiences.

  • Strong command of SDLC project governance, migration timelines, and cross-vendor coordination.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in project collaboration and tracking platforms such as Microsoft Project, Planview, Smartsheet, and Project Place.
  • Demonstrated leadership in high-visibility, deadline-driven programs.
  • Critical thinking and structured problem resolution across complex delivery environments.
  • Expert level leadership skills with ability to operate and lead both strategically and tactically from a delivery perspective.
  • Ability to effectively manage and coordinate crisis situations driving internal resolution activity and managing client engagement.
  • Articulate and engage technically with senior technology / management team of customers
  • Passionate about talent development & mentorship
