Job Description

Canadian Executive Search Group Inc. is seeking an experienced HSE/ Labour relations Advisor for a CK Automotive client.

About the Role - As an HSE / Labor Relations Advisor reporting to the Plant Manager, you will be responsible to ensure that the Plant will plan and implement actions necessary to protect, maintain and improve standards aligned to Health, Safety and Environmental performance. This individual will also effectively manage labour relations in alignment with plant labour strategies and plans.

Responsibilities -

  • Collaborate with all Employees, Management, Engineering, Human Resources, Corporate HSE, Union and Contractors to ensure compliance in location with related policies, standards and processes provided by the company.
  • Investigate and implement corrective and preventative action regarding health and safety incidents.
  • Identify the HSE training needs of all employees in co-operation with the Human Resources Department with respect to legislation and the company's requirements.
  • Lead the plant Emergency Plan, Emergency Response Team, Joint Health and Safety Committee.
  • Implement company labor strategies through collaboration with the Union representatives, including negotiations, interpretation, and administration of collective bargaining agreements, dispute resolution, grievance and arbitration administration.
  • Manage the application of regulations and statutes; Ministry of Labor Regulations, Labor Act and Employment Standards Act, Ontario Human Rights Code, AODA, etc.
  • Drive change related to HSE and Labor Relations mindsets.

Qualifications -

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Human Resources or Business from an accredited 4-Year College or University.
  • A minimum of 5- years of professional experience with HSE in a manufacturing environment with additional experience in Labor Relations.
  • Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) certification.
  • Working knowledge of OHSAS 18001, ISO 45001, and IATF 16494.
