Job Description

Generation Fertility is a leading fertility clinic in Ontario, dedicated to providing exceptional reproductive healthcare services. Our mission is to support individuals and couples in their journey to parenthood through personalized and compassionate care. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Nursing Manager to join our team and lead our nursing department to new heights. We specialize in third party reproductive care, seeing international patients from around the word.

Job Description:

As the Nursing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the nursing framework within our clinic. You will be responsible for managing the Operating Room (OR) and overseeing all clinical elements, ensuring the highest standards of patient care. Your leadership will be essential in managing regulatory and compliance demands (including the Out of Hospital Premises Program and work involving Health Canada Safety of Sperm and Ova Regulations), infection control, and organizational health and safety. You will lead a team of 5 nurses, working closely with other work groups including our Physician and Administrative team and Embryology and Andrology labs.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management

  • Lead and manage the nursing team, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Enhance the nursing framework, policies, and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the OR and clinical areas, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Organize nurse scheduling and staffing assignments
  • Maintain amongst nursing staff a high standard of professional knowledge through CME and training/education

Regulatory and Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards, including the Out of Hospital Premises Program and Health Canada Safety of Sperm and Ova Regulations.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to support these requirements

Infection Control

  • Oversee the infection control program, ensuring adherence to best practices and guidelines.
  • Implement and monitor infection prevention and control measures to safeguard patient and staff health.

Health and Safety

  • Manage organizational health and safety programs, promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Conduct regular health and safety audits and risk assessments in accordance with provincial requirements

Patient Care

  • Ensure the delivery of compassionate, patient-centered care in all clinical areas.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient care practices, identifying opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) with current registration and good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing; Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration is an asset.
  • Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a management or leadership role and 2 years of OR experience.
  • Experience in a fertility clinic or similar healthcare setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements, including the Out of Hospital Premises Program and Health Canada Safety of Sperm and Ova Regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centred care.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS Certified).
  • Strong problem-solving skills

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $100,000 to $110,000

Expected Hours: 40 per week
