Global Corporate Controller – Role Details:
- $170-$185K salary based on qualifications.

Global Corporate Controller – Responsibilities:
- Lead the consolidation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results across global entities
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and relevant local reporting standards
- Oversee intercompany reconciliations and eliminate intercompany transactions for accurate group reporting
- Improve and maintain financial reporting systems for accuracy and efficiency
- Manage global audit processes and serve as the main contact for external auditors
- Ensure audit timelines are met across all jurisdictions
- Strengthen internal controls and support regulatory compliance
- Oversee Canadian tax filings, including GST/HST, T2s, and transfer pricing documentation
- Coordinate international tax compliance with advisors across global markets
- Manage foreign affiliate reporting (T1134s) and optimize cross-border tax structures
- Identify opportunities for tax savings and mitigate risk
- Provide leadership and support to regional finance teams worldwide
- Drive consistency through global accounting policy implementation
- Work closely with leadership in finance, operations, and treasury teams
- Support business restructurings, re-domiciliation efforts, and M&A integration
- Lead or assist with ERP improvements and system implementation projects
Global Corporate Controller – Qualifications
- CPA (Canada) or equivalent international accounting designation (CA, ACA, ACCA) required.
- 10–15 years of progressive finance experience, including 5+ years in a senior consolidation or controller role within a global organization
- Deep knowledge of IFRS, Canadian corporate tax, and multi-currency consolidation
- Proven audit leadership experience across multiple jurisdictions
- Proficient with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics, along with advanced Excel skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration across global teams
- Experience in commodities, agriculture, or international trading environments is an asset
- Familiarity with financial regulations in regions such as Africa, India, Australia, and the UAE
- Project management capabilities and ability to operate in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Hands-on, proactive, and solution-oriented leadership approach
