Position: Payroll & Benefits Specialist

Location: Hybrid, Downtown Toronto, steps from Union Station

Job Type: 12-month contract

About the Role:

As the Payroll & Benefits Specialist, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate and timely payroll and benefits processing, with a focus on the UK and other global regions. You'll support daily, cyclical, and year-end operations, ensure compliance with policies and regulations, and contribute to ongoing improvements.

What You'll Be Doing:

- Process payroll, benefits, and pension transactions accurately and on time

- Support regular operations and year-end reconciliations/audits

- Respond to internal and external inquiries professionally and effectively

- Collaborate with global teams to manage cross-functional processes

- Conduct reconciliations, data audits, and reporting

- Identify and implement process improvement opportunities

- Maintain accurate internal documentation for workflows and policies

What You Bring:

- 2+ years of experience in payroll, benefits, or HR operations

- Strong Excel skills and comfort with systems like Workday, ADP, etc.

- A detail-oriented mindset and a passion for accuracy

- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

- Post-secondary education in HR, Business, or a related field (preferred)

- Experience with multi-country payroll is an asset
