Responsibilities and Accountabilities

· Performs bench testing of customer feed water.

· Manages logistics of pickup/shipping/delivery of customer bench test sample water.

· Performs lab testing of customer sample water and analyzes results.

· Assists R&D manager in the development, sampling, testing, analysis and implementation of new patentable water treatment technology.

· Assists in process design and equipment sizing for Swirltex wastewater treatment systems

· Supports engineering design to size/select individual components that support overall system design, such as piping systems, chemical feed systems, and process-specific treatment systems

· Collect background data on water/wastewater infrastructure and community requirements

· Coordinate with the drafting team to develop detailed design drawings

· Support development of front-end contract specifications for procurement

· Assist with construction management activities, such as reviewing budgets, schedules, shop drawings, requests for information enquiries, contractor progress claims, material performance test reports, etc.

· Update and contribute to project deliverable requirements

· Create training materials and train customers and operators on Swirltex technology;

· Installation and commissioning of new equipment at customer sites;

· Actively communicate and engage stakeholders;

· Assist with the commissioning of water/wastewater infrastructure

Qualifications

· B.Sc. in Engineering. Degrees in Civil, Civil-Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering are preferred

· Registered with APEGA and in good standing

· 1 to 3 years' experience in a technical role in the wastewater treatment industry;

· experience in the following key technology areas: ultrafiltration, DAF, Settling clarifiers, biological treatment, wastewater nutrient removal (ammonia, nitrates, phosphorus), metals removal.

· Excellent customer service skills with a focus on relationship building;

· Excellent problem solving and analytical skills;

· Excellent written and oral communication skills;

· Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team environment with engineers, trades, programmers, and technical professionals;

Location and Travel

· Calgary, AB

· Travel: Up to 20%

· Must have a valid passport and driver's license;
