Scheduling Manager

As the Scheduling Manager, you'll oversee and coordinate schedules for our team members, provide training and direction to the scheduling team, and manage the scheduling system. You will also foster an empowering environment to enhance seniors' autonomy and independence in our various housing communities.

About The Role

As the Scheduling Manager, you will lead the scheduling function across our organization, ensuring efficient workforce coordination and compliance with collective agreements. You'll mentor a team of Scheduling Assistants and Reception Clerks, while collaborating closely with HR, Payroll, and Operational leaders to continuously improve processes and systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide orientation, coaching, and continuous training to the scheduling team
  • Supervise daily scheduling operations, including payroll submissions, callouts, and timeclock management
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and lead implementation of new scheduling initiatives
  • Configure and maintain the scheduling system, documenting changes and troubleshooting errors
  • Ensure scheduling practices comply with collective agreements and relevant legislation
  • Monitor team attendance, audit agency invoices, and analyze scheduling data to identify trends
  • Promote a strong health and safety culture within the scheduling function
  • Collaborate with HR, Payroll, and site leaders to resolve scheduling-related issues

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and/or a relevant diploma
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience with scheduling, time and attendance, and pay administration
  • Experience interpreting collective agreements

Compensation & Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package, featuring a salary range of $35 - $40 per hour. Your comprehensive benefits include employer-paid extended health and dental coverage, along with a generous four weeks of vacation. Additionally, we provide RRSP matching contributions and support for your ongoing professional development.
