Duties:

Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Walton Street Steam Plant. This position will
provide shift and assistant shift engineer relief as required, and other duties as directed by the Plant VP
or their designate.
Perform maintenance and housekeeping tasks when not providing shift relief.
Promote, ensure and maintain a safe and healthy environment.
Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations, and
Enwave HSE policies, programs and procedures.
Qualifications or Skills Required:
Hold a 2nd Class Operating Engineer Certificate.
Hold a valid Ontario drivers license.
Have a minimum of 3 years experience operating as Shift Engineer and demonstrate the ability to
operate and troubleshoot operating issues associated with a multi boiler steam plant.
Be able to cover rotating shifts as required and accommodate work schedule changes on short notice.
Have a strong mechanical aptitude and safely perform maintenance tasks alone or in a team setting.
This position will have direct contact with service contractors, suppliers, inspectors (insurance and
government) and customers.
Attendance, punctuality, appearance, and positive behaviour required to foster positive relations with
contractors, clients, staff, etc., that is in line with a leadership position.
This position is available immediately and probation will start once the candidate starts to work.
