Position Summary:

We are seeking a Rotating Equipment Engineer to support ongoing plant operations by providing specialized expertise in rotating equipment. This role will focus on maximizing reliability, safety, and efficiency through effective condition monitoring, preventative maintenance strategies, and hands-on support for over 1,200 rotating assets, including 27 critical rotating equipment trains. The successful candidate will also contribute to shutdowns, turnarounds, and project planning, while supporting a high-performance maintenance culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor equipment using vibration analysis, oil sampling, temperature, and ultrasonic surveys.
  • Develop and maintain QA/QC programs tailored to equipment criticality.
  • Investigate equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support and guide millwright teams with technical insight.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance strategies and documentation.
  • Plan and participate in turnarounds and project execution.
  • Promote equipment and parts standardization to reduce cost and downtime.
  • Maintain the plants System1 data acquisition system
  • Collaborate with vendors and contractors, ensuring quality, safety, and cost controls.
  • Travel occasionally for specialized training.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) and 3+ years of experience in an industrial plant environment.
  • Proven knowledge in condition monitoring techniques (vibration, lubrication, thermography, ultrasonics).
  • Familiarity with rotating/reciprocating equipment and related standards (ASME, ANSI, API).
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CMMS (Avantis experience a plus).
  • Ability to pass drug and alcohol screening.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
