Legacy Transmission Operations Ltd. is seeking a skilled and reliable Heavy Duty Mechanic / Heavy Duty Transmission Specialist to join our growing team. If you have a strong mechanical background and at least one year of experience working specifically with transmissions, we want to hear from you.

Position Overview:
In this dual-role position, you'll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty vehicles with a focus on transmission systems. You'll work in a fast-paced shop environment that values technical skill, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on heavy-duty trucks and equipment

• Disassemble, inspect, and repair heavy-duty transmissions

• Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtime

• Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used

• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment

• Communicate effectively with the team and shop foreman on job status and repair timelines

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic (3+ years preferred)

• Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience with heavy-duty transmissions

• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Own tools and valid driver's license preferred

• Must be punctual, dependable, and safety-conscious
