Senior Corporate Accountant – Global Engineering & Manufacturing Company

Overview

Our client is a well-established global leader with over 30 years of success in the design, construction, and servicing of complex industrial equipment and manufacturing systems. With operations across multiple continents, they deliver large-scale, high-impact projects with precision, innovation, and a focus on long-term client satisfaction.

As the organization continues to grow, they are looking for a Senior Corporate Accountant to join their finance team. This is a full-time, permanent position based out of their head office in the Greater Toronto Area, with the potential for occasional international travel.

What You'll Do

  • Perform financial accounting functions, including the monthly consolidation of multiple international entities

  • Prepare timely and accurate board reporting packages in collaboration with senior finance leadership

  • Develop and maintain cash flow models with a focus on foreign exchange risk and treasury functions

  • Support the preparation of annual financial statements in compliance with Canadian GAAP for private enterprises

  • Coordinate audit activities and prepare necessary working papers

  • Handle credit-related responsibilities, including ongoing bank covenant and compliance reporting

  • Lead and support the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasting

  • Collaborate with external brokers to maintain a proactive and cost-effective insurance and risk management program

  • Contribute to process improvements and support various day-to-day finance operations

What You Bring

  • CPA designation

  • Proven experience in corporate accounting

  • Strong knowledge of project accounting, including tracking project costs and revenue recognition

  • Demonstrated experience working with multiple currencies and international entities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/accounting systems

  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, and organizational skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Interest in occasional international travel
